EaglePlanner ("EaglePlanner", "we", "our", or "us") provides a road-trip planning mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

1.2 Information collected automatically

1.3 Information from third parties

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app advertising or third-party marketing.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK/EEA users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We share your information only in the following situations:

5. AI Processing

Some Service features use AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or self-hosted models) to generate text such as trip itineraries, stop suggestions, and Drive Narrator stories. When you use these features, we send relevant trip context (origin, destination, preferences, current city/state) to the AI provider so it can generate the response. We do not send your name, email, or password. AI providers process this data under their data-protection terms and do not use it to train their general models for our enterprise/API tier. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete — you should verify any safety-critical information (e.g., charging availability, business hours) before relying on it.

6. International Transfers

We are based in the United States. Your information may be stored and processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to protect international transfers.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS for all data in transit, Firebase Authentication for account credentials, Firestore Security Rules for data access, and least-privilege access control on our backend. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Your Rights

9.1 Everyone

You may delete your account at any time from Garage → Profile → Delete Account. Deletion permanently removes your profile, garage, saved trips, and shared posts from our active systems within 30 days. You may also export your data on request.

9.2 EU / UK / EEA users (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9.3 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to: know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose; delete personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising); limit use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

We do not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

9.4 Other U.S. state residents (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, etc.)

If your state grants similar rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of targeted advertising or profiling), you may exercise them by contacting us.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it. For users in the EU/UK and certain U.S. states, the minimum age may be higher (e.g., 16).

11. Cookies and Analytics

The mobile app does not use browser cookies. We may use Firebase Analytics or similar SDKs to understand aggregate usage. These do not track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. The Service does not currently use third-party advertising networks. The App Tracking Transparency framework is not invoked because we do not perform cross-app tracking.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
